From deep at sea to far inland, a second mob has arrived in hopes of being our friend! Today we explore the Minecraft Armadillo mob, its known features, and what rumors state to be the final mob vote creature.
All Confirmed Features
The Minecraft armadillo mob would be much more common than the crab, spawning in multiple warm biomes like the savanna. Players that find them would be rewarded with a new item called “scute” that appears to fall off armadillo mobs passively or at least without killing.
Scute would then be used to create armor for wolves, giving them more defense and the potential for enchantment effects.
Voting for the Minecraft Armadillo Mob
Beginning October 13th at 1PM EDT, players can vote for their favorite mob during the 48 hours leading up to Minecraft Live. This is done on a special Mojang bedrock server, the Minecraft Launcher, or Minecraft.net. Once the time is up, the winner will be announced live on stream and later added to Minecraft in 1.21.
When is Minecraft Live?
Minecraft Live 2023 airs live on the official Minecraft YouTube Channel and Minecraft.net/live October 15th at 1PM EDT. Those who miss it can also watch a rerun on the official Minecraft YouTube channel shortly after the event reaches its end.

With the YouTube upload leaks proven wrong today, more credit returns to an earlier leak that predicted both the crab and armadillo. Perhaps Mojang uploaded those videos purposefully to throw players off the trail? In either case, the first set of leaks states penguins will be the third reveal.
