The Minecraft crab mob spawns exclusively in mangrove swamp biomes, so don’t expect it on ocean shores or the sea floor. However, for those who do find them, killing a crab will reward you with a claw. This claw can then be used to craft an unknown item that extends the range at which players can place blocks.
In terms of behavior, the crab mob was shown to be waving. Perhaps it’s an actual feature?
Voting for the Minecraft Crab Mob
Beginning October 13th at 1PM EDT, players can vote during the 48 hours leading up to Minecraft Live. This is done on a special Mojang bedrock server, the Minecraft Launcher, or Minecraft.net. Once the time period is up, the announcements will begin!
When is Minecraft Live?
Minecraft Live 2023 airs live on the official Minecraft YouTube Channel and Minecraft.net/live October 15th at 1PM EDT. Those who miss it can also watch the Video on Demand, often available on the official Minecraft YouTube channel shortly after the event reaches its end.
