How to Find the Breeze Mob in Minecraft 1.21

Hidden within chambers of copper and tuff is a mob that will sooner knock you away than put up a direct fight. Today, we explore how to find the Breeze mob in Minecraft 1.21 alongside some tips on how to best stay close as this mob hops around and takes flight.

Where to Find Trial Chambers

Finding the Breeze first requires players to find a Trial Chamber. This dungeon added in Minecraft 1.21 is made of copper and chiseled tuff, spans hundreds of blocks, and is exclusive to the overworld. Players seeking one out will have the best luck between layers -20 and -40.

Unfortunately, no indicators exist on the surface, so actually finding one will be a matter of persistent mining on layer -30 or luck.

Trial Chambers are massive underground structures with many rooms, loot, and trial spawners. Unlike other structures, no mobs will naturally spawn inside. Instead, trial spawners will generate plenty of mobs, including Breezes, to put up a fight.

Trial Spawners, which spawn the Breeze mob, are typically found in the last room of the structure. If you are unsure if a trial spawner should be spawning a Breeze, the blocks around the spawner show exactly what mobs it should be. In the case of the Breeze, chiseled tuff blocks will surround the spawner.

Fighting the Breeze

The Breeze does not directly attack players and instead jumps around the battlefield, shooting blasts of air. These blasts may not be very damaging, but their secondary effect is far more concerning. Chambers containing the Breeze are filled with buttons, trap doors, and levers, which the Breeze mob’s air blasts can activate.

Players not paying attention to their surroundings will quickly find themselves overwhelmed by traps or stuck in pits while the Breeze continues to attack away. With some blocks in hand, towering up to the Breeze and keeping close will quickly earn victory and possibly even a trial key.

Trial Chambers are an exciting addition to the mid-game experience, but how do you feel they hold up late game? Some players feel the Breeze is a bit too easy despite still being as fun as it can be.
