How to Schedule Automatic Backups

Overview
The Multicraft panel has many different features for automation, among them including automatic backups for the server. While there are automatic backups by default, users can schedule additional backups at scheduled times, allowing for an extra layer of security.

How to Schedule Automatic Backups

Step 1. Log in to the Multicraft panel.


Step 2. Go to the Scheduled Tasks tab from the left sidebar.


Step 3. Choose New Task from the top of the sidebar.


Step 4. In the first field, enter a Name for the task like Automatic Backup.


Step 5. In the Scheduled Time field, enter the desired time or use the Calendar Menu to select one.


Step 6. Check the Interval box, and select how often the server should restart. (every 12 hours is recommended in most cases)


Step 7. Using the Command drop-down menu select Create Backup (The Multicraft panel has been preconfigured with the create backup command)


Step 8. Press Create. The server will now automatically create a backup at the selected time intervals.
