Despite Minecraft 1.20.5 adding an abundance of features, Minecraft 1.20.6’s patch notes contain only one line. A bug fix to trader llamas! It turns out that the chests on trader llamas were not only unusable but deleting items as well. This is why backups are always good to have around!

How to Install Minecraft 1.20.6
Installing Minecraft 1.20.6 is as easy as can be! First, open the Minecraft client and then click “Play.” Upon doing so, the automated installation should begin right away.
If trouble is encountered, a manual install can be created under the “Installations” tab instead. Below, we have provided the steps needed to begin.
- First, click “New Installation.”
- Second, select “Latest Release” in the drop-down menu.
- Third, click “Create.”
The new Minecraft 1.20.6 installation will now be a selectable option before clicking play!
