Xbox Game Pass is a subscription-based service released by Microsoft on Xbox June 1st, 2017. Since then, Game Pass has expanded to PC as well, granting players access to hundreds of games on demand, ranging from indie titles to triple-A releases.
Is Minecraft on Game Pass?
We are very happy to say Minecraft is indeed on the Game pass! Those with the PC Game Pass can download both Bedrock and Java Edition, while those on Xbox can download Bedrock Edition. Players can also enjoy both Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Legends with the very same subscription.
Can Game Pass Minecraft Players Join Servers?
Once Minecraft has been downloaded from the Game Pass, it functions the same as any purchased copy. This means players can join servers, play with friends, and experience updates as soon as they arrive.

What Happens After Game Pass Expires?
Game Pass is a monthly subscription, so once it is canceled and expires, the games from it become unavailable. However, the data is not deleted unless the console or PC owner personally does it themselves. Those who resubscribe in the future or directly buy Minecraft will both be able to pick up right where they left off.
