Overview
MCXboxBroadcast is a valuable addition to a Minecraft server running cross-play through GeyserMC, as it enhances the experience for Xbox players. This plugin cleverly bridges the communication gap between Java and Bedrock, allowing server updates and announcements to be broadcast directly to Xbox consoles. Making the server visible on Xbox friends lists simplifies joining for console players and fosters a more connected cross-platform community.
Requirements: Geyser is required. Learn how to install Geyser here.
Enabling MCXboxBroadcast requires all commands to run with a forward slash (/) before the command.
How To Install MCXboxBroadcast on a Minecraft Server
Step 1. Download the MCXboxBroadcastExtension.jar file here.
Step 2. Log in to the Meloncube Games panel.
Step 3. Stop the server.
Step 4. Go to the Files tab on the left.
Step 5. Find the following directory: /home/container/plugins/Geyser-Spigot/extensions .
Step 6. Upload the .jar file from Step 1.
Step 7. Start the server.
Step 8. Go to the Console tab on the left.
Step 9. Copy the authentication code.
Step 10. From Microsoft, paste the code from Step 9.
Step 11. Log in to link with the preferred account.
NOTE: As this is a third-party tool, it is recommended that the user uses an account that is not intended for personal use.
Step 12. Return to the Meloncube Games panel.
Step 13. Go to the Console tab on the left.
Step 14. Confirm the account has been linked.
Step 15. Stop the server. After a complete stop, start the server.
Step 16. Add the linked account from Step 11 as a friend on the Xbox app to join the server.
