The Minecraft universe continues to expand, this time with a DLC from one of the most beloved stories to ever leave Japan! Today, we explore the Minecraft Dragon Ball Z DLC, what it costs, and how it turns Minecraft into a fully fledge fighting game.
Minecraft Dragon Ball Z DLC
In this DLC, the heroes (and villains) of Dragon Ball Z arrive on a cubic earth where a new tournament is about to begin! Players must pick their fighter and either alone, with a friend, or in 5v5 chaos, rise through the ranks across multiple iconic Dragon Ball Z maps. The combat is like nothing ever before seen in Minecraft and follows many of the mechanics traditionally seen in second-person fighting games while also adding its own unique blocky spins.
The characters available are Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Frieza, Trunks, Krillin, Android 18, Cell, Android 17, and Majin Buu. And, best of all, if they could go super Saiyan, they can in this DLC too. Will you be among the few to rise through the ranks while collecting all the dragon balls to make your dreams come true?
Skins and Creator Items
The Minecraft Dragon Ball Z DLC has been released alongside a completely free skin pack on the Minecraft Marketplace containing Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, Bulma, Frieza, and more. And, for a limited time, fans can claim their very own scouter character creator item in the Minecraft Marketplace and keep it permanently. This offer ends on December 4th, 2025, at 10 AM PT.
Cost

The Minecraft Dragon Ball Z DLC is available on the Minecraft Marketplace for 1510 Minecraft Coins, translating to roughly $8.77 USD, with the 1720 Minecraft Coin Bundle costing $9.99. As for the ratings, 500 reviews have the Minecraft Dragon Ball Z DLC at roughly four stars. Not perfect, but still quite the high praise!
