Overview
Connecting to a server with cPanel using an FTP client is a convenient way to securely manage files and transfer data. Note: Cyberduck is the recommended FTP client for Mac and Windows.
How To Connect to a Server With cPanel Using an FTP Client
Step 1. Download and install Cyberduck.
Step 2. Open Cyberduck.
Step 3. Select Open Connection.
Step 4. Fill in the fields on Cyberduck.
Server - The cPanel IP address.
Port - The cPanel port.
Username - The username to log in to the cPanel.
Password - The password to log in to the cPanel.
Step 5. Click Connect.
Step 6. Confirm the connection by choosing Continue.
