However, the Minecraft developer Slicedlime has created a third-party solution! “Seasons” is a professionally made data pack that can be added to singleplayer or multiplayer worlds on Minecraft Java Edition version 1.19.4.

What Does Seasons Add?

https://twitter.com/slicedlime/status/1687179003600224256

The answer may seem obvious, but players wouldn’t want their desert biomes suddenly experiencing a full season of snow. Thankfully, Slicedlime has thought of it all and each biome is affected differently. For example, the savanna has wet and dry seasons rather than spring, summer, fall, and winter.

Otherwise, seasons act as one would expect, bringing snow in the winter, yellow and orange leaves in fall, and new life in spring. Snow and ice even melt as the new seasons roll in.

How to Install Data Packs

Installing data packs is as easy as can be! Simply open up Minecraft, create a new world, and select data packs. Then, drag the data pack’s zip file into the Minecraft window. It should then appear in the available column where it can be enabled.

However, those on existing worlds will need to do a few extra steps. First, open the world folder using the “edit” option before selecting the Data Packs folder found within. There, simply upload the zip file and return to the game.

How to Add Seasons to Minecraft

Slicedlime is one of the best Minecraft developers around and never lets the community down.
