A single Minecraft day, including both daylight and night, is 24,000 ticks<\/a> or twenty minutes on standard settings. Daytime takes up exactly half that time at 12,000 ticks or ten minutes, followed by sunset, which lasts for 1000 more ticks or fifty seconds. From there, night lasts for 10,000 ticks, or about eight minutes and twenty seconds, before ending with a sunrise that once again lasts 1000 ticks, or fifty seconds.
